How to Park for Free with an Electric Vehicle in Denmark

In some areas of Denmark, you can park for free with an electric vehicle (EV), but the rules may vary depending on the municipality.

Free Parking in Aarhus Municipality (8000, 8100, 8200)

• Free parking duration: Electric vehicles can park for up to 4 hours for free.

• After 4 hours: The parking fee will change to the regular rate.

• How it works: The free parking time is automatically calculated based on your vehicle's registration number.

• Important: Parking must be registered in the app from the first minute.

Note: This rule applies only to fully electric vehicles, not hybrid cars.
