- A parking has been mistakenly initiated for my vehicle
Has a camera parking been initiated on your vehicle without you being in the area?
If so, this could be a misread parking. Possible explanations for this could include a license plate similar to yours, or perhaps a dirty plate, entering the area in question. The camera in the area misinterprets the plate, resulting in a signal being sent to your app because you've activated camera recognition for your car.
Another possible reason could be that this is a foreign plate identical to yours.
This is, of course, no cause for concern; you will not be charged for a parking you haven't initiated.
In many cases, the system detects the misreading and automatically stops the parking. Sometimes, the parking runs until the maximum time, as the plate isn't read correctly by the area. When the parking reaches the maximum time, the cost will also be reduced to 0, and you will not be charged.
You can also contact us via email at kundeservice@easypark.net and inform us of the misreading so that we can stop it for you.
From June 2024: By updating to the latest version of the app, you will gain access to several new features. If you experience that a misread camera parking session starts on your vehicle, you can report the error in the app. Tap on the parking session. In the middle of the circle, it says "Report an issue." Here, you enter the exit time to the same minute as the start.
